The Role

Top Tier Private Equity Investment Manager with an unparalleled track record in growth, are looking for a UK focused Asset Manager, at Associate level. The role involves joining a dynamic, entrepreneurial and very focused team, looking after a mixed commercial portfolio of mainly office and industrial property. They focus on Value Add and Core Plus and are extremely good at what they do, with one of the best performing teams in the market. This is an excellent opportunity for a dynamic, highly driven and motivated professional to join a leading European real estate investment manager and play an important role in its growth and be active in its core plus and value-add fund programs. Whilst being a good team player, there will be ample opportunity for direct responsibility and the candidate should be a confident self-starter.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop strategy and overall business plan for the assets, and work with operating partners to deliver the asset by asset strategy
  • Identify, recommend and execute asset management initiatives to create value and mitigate risks during the hold period (leasing, development and repositioning) in conjunction with the Operating Partners, leasing/investment agents, architects and other technical consultants.
  • Maximise operating performance; by challenging and supporting the Operating Partner (as well as other consultants), monitoring progress and working to best practice. Assess investment performance benchmarked to business plan targets on a regular basis.
  • Support annual property valuation process and preparation of internal and external reports
  • Keep senior management informed on progress of the business plan, major asset management initiatives and upcoming risks.
  • Drive sales strategy timing and management of the disposal progress
  • Work closely with the Acquisitions team in the underwriting and due diligence of new investments and assist in securing third party financing

 

Skills/Experience

  • Strong academic record, organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Circa five years of UK real estate experience, ideally most recently being in an Asset Management role
  • Ability to think independently and share experiences and opinions freely
  • Drive and motivation are key skills to the role
  • Ability to manage and drive junior staff is required
  • Highly numerate with excellent analytical and financial modelling skills
  • Comfortable to make effective decisions in response to changes in the market environment
  • Excellent knowledge of accounting fundamentals
  • Strong communication skills, both oral and written
  • IT literate and proficient in Microsoft Excel
  • Languages: Fluent in English. Another European language is a bonus.
