Senior Associate - Private Equity



The Role

Top Tier Real Estate Private Equity firm have very ambitious growth plans for their European business, and are looking for a Senior Associate for the Investment team. They have a focus on Alternatives and are very successful at raising and deploying capital. As a Senior Associate you’ll take responsibility for the Analysis and Execution of new Investments across the UK and Europe, with involvement in Origination too.


The Senior Associate will:

• Evaluate and execute real estate investments across Europe

• Develop and adapt complex financial models and other qualitative analysis to underwrite potential opportunities

• Conduct market research and interact with key stakeholders (e.g. brokers, advisors, potential JV partners) to evaluate opportunities

• Significantly contribute to investment committee papers

• With guidance, oversee and manage specific due diligence and execution workstreams

• Coordinate closing activities internally and externally and handover to the asset management team

• Contribute to the generation of new investment strategies and ideas

• Participate in the process of identification and qualification of new operating partners, as well as involvement in joint venture structuring

• Assist with onboarding, training or hiring of new junior members of the team


The ideal candidate will have:

• Four to seven years of experience working in real estate private equity / principal investments, corporate finance or investment banking

• Strong quantitative, financial and analytical skills

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Good commercial awareness with broad market knowledge

• Ability to draw conclusions from research and data analysis and communicate them effectively

• Undergraduate degree from a top tier institution

• Experience working in the following sectors would be would be a strong advantage: life sciences, data centres, industrial, office

• Proficiency in at least one European language (in addition to English) would be an advantage

• Other professional qualifications such as a CFA would be an advantage

• Extensive working knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc.)

• Highly motivated and organised individual eager to progress and learn all facets of acquisitions
