THE OPPORTUNITY

An Assistant Director / Senior Associate position that represents an exceptional opportunity for a bright, energetic, and experienced candidate to join at an early stage of the build out of the broader real estate practice

The role will involve working closely with the Head of Real Estate and the broader RESI team to support the growth of the business over the coming years.

The successful candidate will play an important role in developing and strengthening client relationships, participating on advisory teams and in structuring and executing a full range of financial transactions.

The candidate must be able to clearly evidence a strong analytical skillset, an in-depth understanding of real assets and/or real estate finance and a market focused approach to transactions in order to positively impact all areas of this practice.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Advising and supporting clients across M&A, Capital Raising and Debt Advisory
  • Assisting with the day-to-day management of transactions which includes preparation of information memoranda, transaction structuring, valuation analysis and management presentations, and taking responsibility for the preparation of information and client communications
  • Drive and take ownership through different phases of the process and be the client “point person”
  • Preparation of pitch books, memorandums, management presentations, board materials and other presentation materials for use in corporate finance transactions or strategic client dialogue
  • Assist the head of the team in identifying potential transactions and clients
  • Build and review of complex financial models, helping manage processes and assisting in structuring
  • Industry research for both deal origination and transaction analysis
  • Supporting investor dialogue in relevant transactions
  • Developing and managing client relationships
  • Co-ordinating teams of tax advisors, accountants, lawyers, real estate valuers and other advisors for various transactions; leading due diligence processes and actively participating in the negotiations of legal documentation and preparations of internal committee presentations

SKILL REQUIREMENTS

  • 6-8+ years’ execution experience across real assets corporate finance advisory / investments
  • Strong academic track record and professional qualifications is desirable (e.g. ACA, CFA)
  • Excellent quantitative and financial modelling skills
  • Generalist cross-sector real assets experience. Real estate-led experience would be a value-add across residential (including BTR / PRS), logistics and other alternative sub-sectors such as healthcare, student accommodation etc.
  • Strong and demonstrable track record of interacting well and building relationships with large range of stakeholders
  • Excellent presentation and report writing skills for a variety of audiences
  • High level of project management and organisational skills
  • Client and team focus, with ability to work quickly and establish effective working relationships
