The Role

Incredibly forward thinking Private Equity investor, whose entrepreneurial founders launched the business whilst still in their 20’s, are expanding into the UK and need a new Head of UK Investment to spearhead this growth. They have a non-traditional approach to RE and pride themselves on delivering incredible mixed use urban spaces, where people want to live, work and relax. All of their buildings are very design led, and incorporate the latest initiatives in Sustainability and ESG, as well as being creative spaces. Their ethos is adding lifestyle to bricks and mortar. They have a very strong track record in their home markets, and great ability to raise capital. They have fully discretionary funds ready to deploy in the UK market, and a lot of appetite to invest heavily in London. As a fully integrated Investor they feel local teams are vital to properly getting under the skin of their target cities, and really being able to make a difference to those metropolitan areas, and hence the role involves growing a team of top tier professionals as well as deploying capital.

 

Responsibilities

  • Growth of UK portfolio to 1 billion Euros in assets under management over the next 5 years
  • Sourcing of deal opportunities both off-market and on-market
  • Undertaking detailed analysis and underwriting of all new pipeline deals, identifying key opportunities and risks
  • Cradle to grave full responsibility for the execution of transactions, managing the full asset, legal, technical and financial due diligence
  • Managing LP relationships
  • Developing new investment vehicles
  • Growing and leading a high-performing team with relevant backgrounds in PE, Strategy Consulting and Investment Banking

Qualifications

  • Experienced investment professional with proven track record in direct real estate transaction
  • Exceptional knowledge of the UK real estate market, especially London
  • Profound and proven network within the UK real estate market
  • Experience in implementing best in class organisational structures
  • Demonstrable experience of driving high performance individuals, teams and business functions
  • Proven and strong abilities in the areas of problem solving, planning, time management, decision making, consulting, negotiation, mentoring and project management
  • Effective communicator across all levels of seniority and business areas

They have very ambitious growth plans for the London team, and need someone who is committed to working within a fast paced and rapidly evolving business. They want to grow their UK AUM to at least €1BN over the next 5 years, and also grow a London team of in a short time frame.
