The Role

We’re currently working with very well capitalised Investment Manager, who invest on their own behalf as well as in JV’s structures, and who now need an Asset Manager for their UK wide Retail Parks portfolio.

You’ll be given your own portfolio to manage, and your role will be to work alongside a Senior Asset Manager to identify and execute Value Add initiatives in accordance with Asset Business plans, an well as having interaction with the wider Asset Management team who look after varied funds. They are looking for an efficient, effective and passionate property professional to drive services for a portfolio of assets to agreed key performance indicators and deliverables. They are happy to consider people from Advisory side backgrounds who want to make their first clientside Asset Management move, or people who already have Asset Management experience under their belts. Ideal candidates will be circa 1 – 4 years PQE and do need to be MRICS.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Working within a team responsible for the implementation of overall asset management strategy
  • Optimise Net Operating Income through proactive asset management
  • Work with strong attention to detail with input and oversight for a range of area’s including leasing, L&T, property management, rent collection, internal reporting and key portfolio administration
  • Work with internal teams and external consultants on delivering development and refurbishment projects
  • Co-ordination and input within the appraisal process of asset management initiatives
  • Key involvement in building and maintaining close relationships with key town centre stakeholders including councils and other bodies
  • Support regional directors in delivering overall asset management strategy

Requirements

  • Relevant degree with MRICS status
  • Proven competency across a range of real estate skills
  • Understand basic appraisal, cashflow and valuation concepts and techniques
  • Ability to analyse and suggest improvements for service delivery
  • Able to fully utilise standard Microsoft Office software and other IT systems
  • Knowledge of the retail market
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Organised with a focus on detail
  • Sociable, outgoing and able to network with industry professionals and other stakeholders
  • Hold a UK Driving license
