The Role

Very well capitalised Private Investor and Developer with a business focus on value add Industrial and Mixed Use space have recently launched in London. They have over 30 years’ track record in their home European market, and have over €3BN transactions completed to date, with a team of over 100 employees in Germany. They are very excited about current opportunities within the UK market and have opened their London office in the West End, and have already taken on a new Head of UK Investment. They now need a Director of Asset Management to work closely with the Head of Investment, and drive value from their expanding portfolio. It’s a very hand on role, doing redevelopment, refurbishment, lease regears, driving leasing campaigns, etc and will eventually involve growing a team.

Role:

  • Asset management of a growing portfolio of industrial and logistics property across the UK
  • Developing and implementing value-add strategies for existing and new assets in the portfolio
  • Co-ordination of leasing, development, marketing, and asset performance
  • Managing the leasing process and marketing programmes
  • Managing third party service providers including property managers, leasing agents and lawyers
  • Engage proactively with tenants and create meaningful partnerships
  • Formulating detailed forecasting for annual business plans across each asset
  • Constantly review property and project budgets against underwritten financial plans

Requirements:

  • MRICS qualified with 5+ years post qualified experience
  • Previous Asset Management experience in Industrial & Logistics sector essential (experience in other sectors a bonus)
  • Creative and entrepreneurial mind set when it comes to setting business plans and realising value from assets
  • Strong communication ability and demonstratable negotiation skills
  • Understanding of property investment and development principles and key drivers
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
  • Candidates should have experience of, or a strong interest in, implementation of sustainability improvements, in particular delivering net zero carbon pathways. Experience in delivering improved EPC ratings and green building certifications such as BREEAM would be beneficial.
