The Role

We are working closely with a global foundation with a $multi-billion investment portfolio that is diversified across asset classes and geographies with an objective of generating returns to fund its charitable mission and at least preserve the endowment’s value in real terms long-term. 
 
They are currently looking for an Investment Analyst to provide qualitative and quantitative analytical skills to the Portfolio Management Team, which is responsible for investing directly and indirectly across all investment asset classes and assist in the monitoring and review of existing investments and the evaluation and recommendation of new opportunities.
 
This role is part of the Property team within the Investment division. Their Property team invests in direct property, asset-backed operating businesses and fund structures.

In this role you will

• Work in the Portfolio Management team to research investment ideas
• Undertake quantitative and qualitative due diligence on existing and new investments and making recommendations to the team
• Ensure proper compilation and recording of documentation and due diligence packages
• Assist in the negotiation of legal terms
• Review investment performance regularly
• Actively network and promote the company in the investment market
• Liaise with third parties, including consultants, advisers and external managers
• Build industry networks and contacts
• Undertake any other duties that may be required from time to time
• Contribute to the creation and development of a diverse and inclusive culture across the organisation, collaborating across departments

• Experience in real estate corporate finance, banking, or investment management (18-36 months) and experience in underwriting and due diligence of property investment opportunities.
• Understanding of qualitative and quantitative risks at the investment and portfolio levels.
• A solid foundation of investment, finance, and property technical knowledge.
• Excellent IT skills, including highly proficient in Excel and complex financial modelling.
• Strong communicator, written and verbal, as well as ability to establish and manage professional relationships across seniorities.
• Intellectually curious and adaptability of professional skills.
• Highly reliable with strong attention to detail and intrinsic drive towards excellence and high desire to continuously improve and learn.
