The Role

Well established UK Real Estate lending platform, who provide property backed lending to UK focused Residential and Mixed Use Developers are growing their team. Due to growth in their fund, and their ambitions across the next 12 – 24 months to more than double the size of their loan book they now need an Asset or Portfolio Manager. It’s a wide ranging role that involves working closely with their development partners, regular site visits, internal and external reporting and taking overall responsibility for the performance of the existing loan book. They are keen to consider MRICS candidates with a Residential or Commercial Valuations background who want to make the move clientside, and into a property finance role.

Role

• Providing best in class customer service to all our stakeholders including borrowers, valuers, solicitors, monitoring surveyors and other professionals.
• Carrying out regular site meetings at development sites and become a point of contact for developers.
• Ensuring a timely review of the monthly Monitoring Surveyor reports for all development projects and the subsequent development loan advances.
• Day to day responsibility for the oversight of loans from initial drawdown through to repayment including performing and non-performing loans.
• Liaising with monitoring surveyors and valuers (where necessary) to review and analyse their reports for the authorisation of the monthly drawdowns.
• Manage underperforming loans and negotiate exits where appropriate
• Managing and processing development and bridging finance products.
• Become a key contact for Borrowers with a view to generating repeat lending opportunities from the extant client base and seek new lending opportunities from referrals from the extant client base.

• Previous development property lending experience, or RE experience including Valuation, Development or Asset Management
• Good understanding of the Development process and general RE Market
• High level of attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to deal with senior executives and build relationships across and outside the business
