Director – Real Estate M&A, Debt and Capital Raising Advisory
The role will involve working in a dynamic and fast growing real estate team. The team is involved in a range of exciting assignments across affordable residential, cold storage, self-storage, healthcare, data centres and energy & infra with real estate crossover areas.
The successful candidate will play an important role in working alongside the team providing guidance and senior level supervision / input in order to ensure smooth day to day execution of assignments, leading on business development initiatives, nurturing existing and developing new client relationships, as well as being the lead advisor across structuring and executing a full range of financial transactions.
The candidate must be able to clearly evidence a strong entrepreneurial mindset, solid experience of leading transaction execution (M&A, equity and ideally debt too), an in-depth understanding of real estate markets (ideally residential or operational real estate sector experience) and a market focused approach to transactions as well as relevant corporate finance / investment banking advisory experience of a minimum of 10 years.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Advising and supporting clients across M&A, Capital Raising and Debt Advisory.
  • Execution supervision & lead: guiding and supervising the team with day-to-day management of transactions which includes preparation of information memoranda, transaction structuring, valuation analysis and management presentations, and taking responsibility for the preparation of information and client communication.
  • Business development: lead on new idea generation, initiatives and pitches - identifying potential target transactions and clients. Guiding the team in preparation of pitch books, memorandums, management presentations, board materials and other presentation materials for use in corporate finance transactions or strategic client dialogue.
  • Relationships: broaden the relationships of the their real estate team leveraging own network as well as picking up and strengthening existing RE relationships.
  • Support the team’s development and learning, being the role model and mentor for the real estate team.
  • Supporting investor dialogue in relevant transactions, and develop and manage client relationships.

SKILL REQUIREMENTS
  • 10+ years’ experience, with minimum of 5 years real estate M&A / capital raising / debt advisory.
  • Strong academic track record and professional qualifications are desirable (e.g. ACA, CFA).
  • Excellent deal execution (must have) and business development / origination skills.
  • Generalist cross-sector real assets experience. Real estate experience will be seen as valuable in particular across living (affordable housing, BTR / PRS, PBSA etc.), debt advisory (senior/mezzanine/preferred/structured solutions) and operational real estate (cold storage, self-storage, healthcare etc.).
  • Strong and demonstrable track record of interacting well and building relationships with large range of stakeholders.
