The Role

Senior Asset Manager - National Retail Portfolio

Madison Berkeley are delighted to once again represent a boutique asset management firm who currently advise on close to £1bn AUM across various funds within the UK. As a result of recent successes and new portfolio mandates wins, we are working in partnership to strengthen their asset management department. The ideal candidate will be MRICS Qualified and hold significant client side asset management experience, specifically retail would be beneficial.

The successful candidate will be responsible for a national portfolio which is prominently made up of retail warehouses and mixed use commercial assets. You’ll be working closely with the end client to understand their individual requirements which enables you to create, unlock and realise the assets full potential, the allocated portfolio holds close to 50 tenants across 18 parks, typical lot sizes of c.£10m.

Key skills and experience as follows:
  • MRICS Qualified & Client Side Experience (Essential)
  • Key Landlord & Tenant experience negotiating rent reviews, lease renewals, regearing leases, and managing outsourced leasing agents to reduce voids and improve tenant covenant strengths.
  • There are plenty of active refurb & development projects across the portfolio therefore exposure to managing and delivering schemes is essential.
  • Day to day management of the portfolio, ensuring reporting, H&S, compliance and ESG strategies are in place.
  • There could be further investment opportunities depending on market trends.
  • Retail & Commercial experience – (Essential)
